According to proposal, two Latvian groups will be initiated in 2012. Thus will involve the development of a special curriculum, finding teachers and instructors able to teach in Latvian, establishing intergovernmental agreements concerning funding for training labour for the neighboring country, etc. The Estonian-Latvian Institute in Valga and Latvian-Estonian Institute in Valka will be merged into a unified Institute of Livonia (the former name of the region) for research work in common historical and cultural heritage, the promotion of the neighbor language studies, the development of the area, etc. |
