| Please, briefly describe the CBC activity you wanted to pursue | The Karelian region of the Russian-Finnish border currently has five checkpoints (three international and two simplified cross-border points). There is also an internal checkpoint at the international airport “Petrozavodsk”. Checkpoints serve the needs of the Republic of Karelia, and the other regions of the Russian Federation for freight and passenger transport. In addition, checkpoints, including the simplified border crossings, serve the interests of the cross-border regions of Karelia and Eastern Finland for the development of humanitarian, cultural and friendly relations and tourism. |
