| Please, briefly describe the CBC activity you wanted to pursue | The tourism section of the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic approved the Tourism Support Act (2010) which will help tourism associations to be more competitive and access funding from the state budget for the development of tourism. The act defines the conditions for the creation of local and regional tourism management organizations, conditions for receiving funding from the state budget, and authorization from the public administration in the field of tourism.
The Tourism Support Act No. 91/2010 Coll. approved by the Slovak Parliament in March 2010 can be considered as the main tool for management of sustainable tourism development in Slovakia. Currently, the law will come into effect on the 1st of December 2011. |
