| What was the core OBSTACLE in undertaking the activity? | One of the biggest issues regarding the future of the Øresund Region relates to the rising amount of traffic on the Øresund Bridge. In particular is the increased use of the railway lines, resulting in capacity problems between passenger trains and freight trains that share the same railway lines on the bridge. These problems are already visible.
The Øresund Committee and the regions in the Øresund Region are proposing another fixed railway link across the Øresund between Helsingør and Helsingborg. The final decision for financing this proposal must eventually come from at least one of the national states involved. |
