Following a meeting between Brandenburg’s Minister for Labour, Social Affairs, Women and Family Affairs, Günter Baaske, and the former Marshall of Lubuskie Voivodship, Marcin Jablonski a letter of intent, date 18 August 2010, was agreed to. This established a joint German-Polish working group that would actively monitor the process of creating full freedom of movement for workers starting in May 2011 with a view to intensifying the labour policy dialogue between Lubuskie Voivodship (Poland) and the Federal Land of Brandenburg. The constituent meeting of the working group was held in Frankfurt (Oder) in December 2010.It was also envisaged that the working group will discuss strategies for adopting a policy of “good jobs” and for exchanging information regarding working and living conditions for the population of both regions. It was agreed that the working group will submit a final report by the end of 2011, the results of which will be presented to the public at a workshop to be held in December 2011. |
