| Please, briefly describe the CBC activity you wanted to pursue | Estalishment of a Riga-Lugaži (Latvia) passenger train service to the border station of Valga (Estonia) which would establish a connection through changing trains while traveling between the capital cities Tallinn and Riga. This service was established in January 2010. Currently there is no direct passenger train service between Tallinn and Riga, so for the moment this is the only possibility although travel time is far too long. In the Estonian trains tickets to Riga can be bought for Estonian currency although the operator is Latvian. The eventual aim of this project is the establishment of a direct Tallinn-Riga passenger train service |
