Please, briefly describe the CBC activity you wanted to pursue	Under the framework of the Cross Border Cooperation project “Connecting touristic centers and roads along the Danube via ferry connection between Dunaremete (HU) and Bős (Gabčíkovo, SK)” a new border crossing point has been established on the Hungarian-Slovakian border. The implementation of the project is scheduled for 31 July 2013. The goal of this Cross Border Cooperation project is to create an economic-friendly alternative cross border infrastructure through the establishment of a new ferry-connection between the two countries. This will improve interaction between communities and business organizations on both sides of the border. The cooperating partners in the project are the Municipality of Lipót and the Municipality of Dunaremete (as the Managing Partner) in Hungary and the Municipality of Bős (Obec Gabcíkovo) and Nagyszombat County (Trnavsky Samospravny kraj) in Slovakia. A means of crossing the Danube River was necessary here as there was no river crossing in this region for 50 km (between Rajka and Vámosszabadi municipalities). The establishment of this ferry crossing will improve the socio-economic activity of this border region by promoting tourism and agriculture resulting in the improvement of the quality of life for the local communities and visitors to the region. An efficient local transport infrastructure will have an innovative impact on local enterprise,facilitating the establishment of cross border collaborations in infrastructural, cultural, and economic activities, and in the long term the establishment of a cross-border economic and cultural region. Cooperation between the two regions will strengthen the exchange of ideas between institutions on both sides of the border and an improvement of common social and cultural activities. Our experiences in developing this project shows that the project can serve as an example for other projects. This project creates facilities for the extension of the project to other geographic and economic regions and strengthens cooperation among economic and social participants of the border region
