Cross-border movement of emergency medical services. An agreement between the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Estonia and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Latvia on “Mutual aid on providing the ambulance service in the border areas” was prepared and signed in September 2010 and ambulances were able to cross the border in November. The next objective is cross-border provision of medical services so that an agreement between Estonia and Latvia could be concluded to finance treatment of residents of the neighbouring country. |
