Please, briefly describe the CBC activity you wanted to pursue The “Joint Statement on Implementation of the Working Programme in Protected Areas” signed on 29 May 2008 in Bonn under the auspices of the Convention on Biological Diversity’s ninth meeting; Slovenia joined forces with other countries of the Dinaric Arc to protect their rich natural heritage by building an effective network of protected areas. The statement stresses the values of the Dinaric Arc ecoregion and the importance of trans-boundary sustainable management for ensuring the maintenance of ecosystem services and sustainable development. Its goals are focused on the conservation and sustainable development of the region, emphasizing trans-boundary cooperation and the importance of the establishment of ecological networks in the region.
