Please, briefly describe the CBC activity you wanted to pursue | There is an increasing interest in establishing an historical train service in the border region, that forms part of the “CBC Program Slovak republic – Czech Republic 2007-2013” project. The objective is to develop a cross border transport infrastructure to benefit the Hillside Villages of Region Veľká Javorina – Bradlo Association, n.p.o. The project partners are the Railway Society Veselí and Moravou, c.s.
The primary goal of this project is to revive the seasonal railway passenger service in conjunction with the development of a transport infrastructure and increased accessibility. It is focused on the promotion of the history of the railway, as well as promoting the local region to the general public for agro tourism, rural tourism, cyclo- tourism and wine tourism of Moravian region. This railway will improve the accessibility of the region for tourists that will be able to enjoy the region’s natural beauty and culture. Currently, there is a decline in railway transport and infrastructure this project represents a revitalization of this historical railway |
