Cross-border-cooperation programs under ETC finance projects (Slovenia – Austria – Croatia – Hungary – Italy)

• Encouraging entrepreneurship, especially the development of SMEs, tourism, culture and cross-border trade;
• Improving joint management of natural resources
• Improving access to transport and communication networks;
• Developing joint use of infrastructure;
• Administrative, employment and equal opportunities work etc.

Results:

• The results of the CBC projects generally overcome national perspectives. They are in line with the main aspect of ETC: integration, development and cohesion – currently with a  focus on cross-border catchment areas. Some of the most frequent types of CBC project results are:
• Establishment of new institutional networks (e.g. a cross-border business park network for SMEs);
• The exchange of knowledge and experience, improvement of awareness;
• Different studies, analysis, reviews and action plans (e.g. a study proposal for a joint strategy plan for management of the Lynx population);
• Waste water treatment facilities;
• Launch of joint tourist destinations, new services (e.g. cross-border action of environmental patrols)
