Cross border cooperation between the Republic of Karelia, Russia, and the National Institute of Health and Welfare of Finland and the Centre of Public Health of Northern Karelia, embraces research, educational and supportive activities aimed at disease prevention and public health improvement. Joint work includes: seminars, visits by specialists, research regarding public health, practical health-improvement programs, which promote public welfare, keeping health care databases up to date as well as other activities of Finnish and Karelian specialists aimed at the promotion of cooperation in health care sphere. |
