Please, briefly describe the CBC activity you wanted to pursue The provisions of Convention on Social Security between Republic of Slovenia and Republic of Croatia (mentioned above) apply to the legislation of member states covering:

  • Health insurance;
  • Pension and disability insurance;
  • Unemployment insurance;
  • Wage compensation for the period of maternity leave.

The provisions of Convention applies to persons who are or who have been covered by the social security legislation of one or both countries as well as to other persons if they exercise the right based on the insurance of this persons. The procedures for recognising educational diplomas of people whose nationality is neither Slovenian nor Croatian are under the responsibility of Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology.

For old-age pensions both states in which a person has been insured must pay an old-age pension when the insured person reaches the age of retirement. The calculation of the amount of the benefits takes into consideration all the periods completed in another Member State. The competent authority for issues of health insurance is Ministry of health of the Republic of Slovenia.
