Please, briefly describe the CBC activity you wanted to pursue The Carpathian wetlands initiative is coordinated by the Slovak Republic via the State Nature Conservancy (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine).

The Carpathian Wetland Initiative is a Ramsar regional project, whose mission is to support the effective conservation and wise use of wetlands in the Carpathian region and beyond, through local, national, regional and international projects. It was adopted for 2009-2012 and its activities are specified in annual plans in cooperation with the responsible institutions of all 7 involved countries, cooperation in preparation of joint conferences, joint projects, selection of expert groups for specific issues, common publications and guidelines, and data bases.
